One fitter, from the survey to the clean-up
Nikk Flooring is Nicolai Morari, a floor fitter based in Abingdon. He carries out all the work himself, so the person who measures your room is the person who lays the floor.
How Nicolai works
Over the last six years Nicolai has built up a lot of happy and returning customers across Oxfordshire. Some have asked him back two and three times, for a second room or a different floor.
He calls himself a perfectionist, and his customers tend to notice the same things: the corners, the cuts around door frames, the edges of stair nosings, and a room left clean at the end of each day.
Most of all, he does not start on a bad base. If the subfloor is out, he levels it with self-levelling compound, using materials he trusts, or boards it with plywood, before the floor goes down. It takes longer, and it is the reason his floors stay flat.
He fits laminate, LVT, engineered wood, herringbone and parquet, stairs and skirting, for homeowners and for insurance work. You can buy the floor yourself, or he can source it for you.
