Engineered herringbone parquet with a border
One of my best jobs. The subfloor was put right with self-levelling compound first; skirting boards done too.
Engineered wood is the work Nicolai would most like to do more of: herringbone and parquet, floating or fully glued, often with a border. He has fitted Kährs, Quick-Step and other brands, and prepares the subfloor himself before the first block goes down.

Radley
Quick-Step engineered herringbone over self-levelling compound.

Oxfordshire
Before installing it I fixed the subfloor with self-levelling compound; fully glued to the subfloor.

Oxfordshire
Half of the subfloor levelled with compound first; skirting boards fitted as well.

Didcot
Finished with a white scotia.

Bicester
Finished with a neat entrance door mat.
Both are possible. Glued down feels more solid and suits herringbone and parquet; a floating click floor is quicker. Nicolai will tell you which suits your subfloor at the survey.
Herringbone shows every dip. If the subfloor is out, he levels it with self-levelling compound before fitting, and tells you at the survey if that is needed.
Send the rooms, your town and, if you have them, a few photos. He'll reply with a time for the free survey.
