Which floor is best for my home?

LVT copes with water and suits kitchens and bathrooms; laminate is the budget choice; engineered wood and herringbone are the long-term investment. Nicolai explains the options for your rooms at the survey, and can source the material or fit what you have bought.

When can you start?

Send a WhatsApp with the rooms and your town, and Nicolai will reply with his next free dates. Evenings and weekends are possible on request.

Does my floor need levelling?

He checks it at the survey. Glue-down LVT and herringbone need a flat subfloor; if yours is out, he levels it with his own self-levelling compound first.

Will you take the old floor away?

Yes. Taking the waste away has a minimum charge of £125, or it is free if you take it to the tip yourself.

Who will do the work?

Nicolai himself, from the first visit to the final clean-up. He is your single point of contact.

Which areas do you cover?

Abingdon and the towns around it: Oxford, Didcot, Kidlington, Bicester, Wantage, Wallingford, Faringdon and Witney.

Engineered wood, herringbone & parquet

Floating or glued?

Both are possible. Glued down feels more solid and suits herringbone and parquet; a floating click floor is quicker. Nicolai will tell you which suits your subfloor at the survey.

Does the floor need to be level first?

Herringbone shows every dip. If the subfloor is out, he levels it with self-levelling compound before fitting, and tells you at the survey if that is needed.

LVT & luxury vinyl

Is LVT good in a bathroom?

Yes, it is water resistant and he has fitted it in several bathrooms. Glue-down LVT needs a smooth subfloor first, which he prepares.

LVT or laminate?

LVT copes with water better; laminate is usually cheaper. Nicolai explains the difference for your room at the survey.

Stairs

Can the stairs match my new floor?
