This notice explains how Nikk Flooring ("I", "me") uses personal information when you ask for a survey or a new floor, contact me or use this website.
Who I am
Nikk Flooring is a trading name of Nicolai Morari, a sole trader and floor fitter based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, who is the controller of your information. Contact: info@nikkflooringoxfordshire.co.uk, 07401 640671.
What I collect
- What you send through the contact form: your name, phone number, email address, your town or postcode, the floor you are thinking of, the rooms and your message.
- What you send by phone, WhatsApp or email, including photos of your rooms and floors.
- Your address and access details, when you book a survey or a job, so I can come to measure and fit.
Why I use it, and the legal basis
- To reply to you, survey the room, give you a price and fit your floor: steps you asked for before a contract, and the contract itself (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the records tax law requires, and waste transfer records when I take old flooring away: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
- To keep this website secure and working: my legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
I don't use your details for marketing and I don't sell them.
Who helps me
These providers handle information for me, only on my instructions:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes form submissions.
- Resend, which delivers the form to my email inbox.
- Afaceri Diaspora Ltd, which built and maintains this website and keeps a copy of form messages so none are lost.
- WhatsApp (Meta) and my email provider, when you contact me that way.
- Google, only if you choose to load the map or allow visit statistics.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to a job are deleted within 12 months. Records of jobs and payments are kept for six years, as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask me to correct or delete it, object to how I use it or ask me to restrict it. Email info@nikkflooringoxfordshire.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website uses no advertising. Visit statistics (Google Analytics) and the Google map load only if you allow them; when they do, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address. See the cookie notice.
